Maine Root pitched in to efforts being staged in New York, Los Angeles, and any city with two ears and a heart this past weekend. Mark Seiler, president of Maine Root, was in Austin to donate tasty sodas for the star-studded benefit to raise money for the relief efforts in Haiti. This Sunday's Help Austin Help Haiti at Austin Music Hall gathers artists like Asleep At The Wheel, Bob Schneider, The Flatlanders, Robert Earl Keen, Ray Wylie Hubbard, and dozens more for a 10-hour marathon of music and fundraising that also includes a silent auction of items donated by Mike Judge and Robert Rodriguez, SXSW, and the Marfa Film Festival, among many others. All proceeds from the $33 ticket ($28 if you purchase online) will go directly to The Clinton-Bush Fund and OXFAM. And if you haven't already, text the word HAITI to 90999 to have a $10 donation to the Red Cross tacked onto your phone bill right now.
